"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

FIRE!!!!

So yes, this month has been one of natural disasters.  A tornado a couple weeks ago, and now, a fire!  It's been going on just west of Fort Collins, and hasn't been contained very much.  There have been many homes evacuated, and even one death (I heard it was a stubborn old lady who wouldn't leave her house. Sad.)  So this week we did some tracting for hygiene kits for those that have been evacuated from their homes.  This week was also great as far as the work went.

So first of all, on Monday we had set up an appointment to get to know a part-member family named the Pritchards who remind me a lot of the Deans back home.  The dad races in trucks and dune buggies and stuff, and the kids are all super fun and awesome.  Their 9 year old twins want to be baptized, and so on Monday we got to know them a little bit and talked to them about the Book of Mormon.  We also have an appointment with them today, and we're hoping to be able to get them to work towards becoming active and getting baptized!  It's awesome!

Next, Alissa is going to be baptized this Saturday!  It's going to be great.  Bro. Meyers is going to baptize her, and a lot of his family is coming into town to see it. She is just so ready to do this.  It will be something that will bless her life forever.  Not only her life, but the life of her children and many more people.  We are teaching her tonight, and then she will be having a baptismal interview in the next couple of days or so.  It's amazing to see such a prepared soul.

We got a referral from Mormon.org this week for a man named Gary Stinson.  He wanted a Book of Mormon, and so Elder Ellsworth and Elder Stanger were on exchanges and gave it to him and set up an appointment with him for Friday. We went over on Friday, and started talking to him.  He says he is tired of making decisions in life all on his own and screwing up. He needs God and is ready to change.  We did "How to begin teaching" with him from Chapter 10 of PMG, and while doing that he committed to be baptized!  Tender Mercy.  We then gave him a church tour the next day with a member, and then he came to church yesterday!  It was awesome.

All in all, the Greeley Zone and Elder Stanger and I are loving the work and working our hardest.  It's amazing to see what the Lord blesses you with just because He loves you and wants his children to be happy.  I love Him so much, and He truly loves us.  There is no greater knowledge than knowing the almighty God loves you personally, by name, and is truly involved and interested in your life.  Tell him about it.  He cares.  I love you all.

Love,
Elder Logan Bryan
